Practice Area: Litigation - White Collar Crime & Government Investigations - Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm in New York City is seeking a Senior Government Enforcement Defense Lawyer with 5+ years of experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in New York, Washington DC, or Miami. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate degree and excellent writing, drafting, and editing skills. Duties:Handle a wide range of Government Enforcement Defense (GED) matters, including asset forfeiture cases.Provide legal counsel and representation to clients facing government enforcement actions.Conduct legal research and analysis on complex enforcement issues.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Work closely with clients to develop defense strategies and negotiate favorable resolutions.Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings.Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to build strong defense cases. Requirements:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in New York, Washington DC, or Miami.Graduated law school before 2017.Excellent writing, drafting, and editing skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications:Admission to the Bar in New York, Washington DC, or Florida. Education:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Skills:Legal research and analysis.Legal writing, drafting, and editing.Negotiation and advocacy.Client counseling and representation.Case management and organization.Collaboration and teamwork.
