Smith Gardens, Inc. Position avaialbe in College Place Smith Gardens, Inc. is hiring for part-time seasonal merchandising positions to work in local retail garden centers. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is service focused, people oriented, and willing to perform physical labor under variable weather conditions. Must be a team player and work well with others. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES *Make regular store visits to assess and merchandise product in assigned store(s) *Communicate corporate direction to store associates *Assist stores with following layouts *Assist stores with understanding watering needs and merchandising practices *Help set up live goods displays *Stocking, organizing, and signing/pricing of nursery product *Cleaning, culling, and condensing of nursery product on garden center tables *Communicate completed tasks to store management and your direct supervisor CHARACTERISTICS AND SKILLS REQUIRED *Strong People Skills works well within a team *Teachable, positive attitude *Ability to work with integrity and minimal supervision PHYSICAL DEMANDS *Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions *Able to maneuver and push/pull rolling shipping carts *Able to lift, move, and carry pots & trays of flowers weighing up to 30lbs CONTACT: XXXX@msn.com At Smith Gardens we are more than just co-workers, we are a team.
