MediSync Midwest, a business services company specializing in providing business services to physician groups in the Cincinnati and Dayton markets, is seeking a Patient Account Representative for their office in Cincinnati (Norwood), Ohio. MediSync has a unique, team focused culture and embraces process, strategy and change. As a growing company, we are seeking a qualified Patient Account Representative to join our Patient Accounts Department. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of insurance billing procedures and collection processes, with the ability to review, research, correct, and resubmit insurance claims. Additionally, this individual will resolve patient questions and manage production responsibilities including insufficient funds, returned mail, claims management, credit card processing, and credentialing. This position reports to the Billing Manager and will regularly communicate with practice managers, staff, physicians, patients, and payors regarding resolution of account and claim problems. To qualify, candidates should be a self-motivated go-getter with strong time management skills, and have: High School Diploma or equivalent 1 year health care/health insurance experience 1 year physician medical billing experience Previous experience in a structured call center environment is desired Ability to communicate professionally and deal courteously with all levels of staff and with patients and insurance companies Knowledge of basic computer software, hardware, and functions Knowledge of HIPAA compliance/Red Flag processes Ability to contribute to and foster a positive team working environment MediSync favors an open communication style, values employee input, and focuses on the growth of its employees.
