Description:
SUMMARY Install and repair production and building equipment and special purpose machines; high pressure steam, water, air, and gas lines, electrical and electronic controls, hydraulics, PLCs, plumbing, piping and tubing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the repair of all production equipment, and electrical work. Inspect equipment for proper lubrication and preform other preventive maintenance duties for the teams. Repair floors, tile and perform general carpentry and repair of plant facilities. Check out problem areas make repairs or adjustments as necessary. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must be willing to attended college, leading to a degree in a maintenance related field. Two years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must also possess ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to meet physical demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
