Medical Transcription Recommendations: -3 years CURRENT medical transcription experience as an independent contractor working from home preferably in oncology/hematology. -High-speed internet, Windows XP or newer, MS Word, MS Outlook 2007, and spreadsheet software. -Medical spellchecker (Stedman's highly preferred). -Transcription software and equipment (Olympus highly preferred). -Able to type 8 MB/35 files per day. -Experience with electronic medical records. -Line counting software advisable (Practicount & Invoice preferred). -Moderate computer knowledge and EXTENSIVE MS Word knowledge. -Accuracy is mandatory! ***** This is a telecommute (work-at-home) position for an INDEPENDENT contractor (NOT AN EMPLOYEE), which means you will need to be able to produce accurate/professional looking documents with little to NO supervision. ***** Files are available Monday-Friday and that sometimes includes STAT files. No weekend work required, but sometimes is requested. This position is available from a privately owned medical transcription company in Charlotte, NC.
