The ideal candidate will have a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields, with expertise in drafting and patent prosecution. Experience in design engineering, particularly within a chip company, is highly desirable. Candidates with knowledge in networking, software, and wireless networks such as 3G/4G/5G are preferred. Admission to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required, while Bar licensure in California is considered advantageous.Duties:Drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Providing strategic counseling to clients regarding IP matters.Collaborating with clients and inventors to understand technology innovations.Conducting legal research and drafting legal opinions.Requirements:2-6 years of legal experience.Experience in intellectual property law, particularly in drafting and patent prosecution.Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields.Desirable experience in design engineering within a chip company.Knowledge of networking, software, and wireless networks such as 3G/4G/5G is preferred.Admission to the USPTO.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields.Certifications:Admission to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and organizational skills.
