The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of legal experience, focusing on IP law, specifically in drafting and patent prosecution. Candidates with a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields are preferred, with design engineering experience in a chip company considered a strong advantage. Additionally, candidates with expertise in networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or similar technologies are highly desired. Admission to the USPTO is required, and bar licensure in California is a plus.Duties:Drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Conducting legal research and analysis related to patent prosecution matters.Communicating with clients, patent examiners, and other stakeholders.Providing strategic advice on patent portfolio management.Collaborating with colleagues on patent litigation matters when necessary.Assisting with patent infringement analyses and opinions.Requirements:2-6 years of legal experience, focusing on intellectual property law.Experience in drafting and prosecuting patents.Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields.Design engineering experience with a chip company is advantageous.Familiarity with networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or similar technologies.Admission to the USPTO.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields preferred.Certifications:Admission to the USPTO is required.Bar licensure in California is a plus.Skills:Strong legal research and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Proficiency in legal software and research databases.Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
