The ideal candidate will have a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field and be adept at drafting and prosecuting patents. Design engineering experience with a chip company is desirable, along with expertise in networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or similar technologies. The candidate must be admitted to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO); Bar licensure in California is a plus.Duties:Draft and prosecute patent applications in various technical fields, focusing on computer science, electrical engineering, and related areas.Conduct patentability and infringement analyses.Communicate with clients regarding patent strategies and prosecution matters.Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and legal professionals to ensure effective patent prosecution.Assist with patent portfolio management and maintenance.Requirements:2-6 years of legal experience, preferably in intellectual property law.Experience drafting and prosecuting patents, particularly in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields.Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar technical disciplines.Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus.Familiarity with networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless network technologies, or similar areas is preferred.Admission to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.Bar licensure in California is advantageous.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.Certifications:Admission to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as a registered patent attorney.Skills:Strong legal research and writing skills.Ability to effectively communicate complex technical and legal concepts.Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.Proficiency in patent prosecution procedures and regulations.Team player with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients effectively.
