If so, then you've come to the right place!Watch our video hereGeneral SummaryThis is an entry level position responsible for providing assistance to operators on water resources projects, such as water well drilling or pump installation.STARTING SALARY = $18 - $22/hour based on experience. Benefits available on 1st of month following date of hire.Essential Job Accountabilities * Provide assistance to operators on water well drilling or water pump installation projects * Operate and service trucks, backhoes, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps and various other types of equipment * Work as part of a crew but also expected to work without supervision to accomplish task if required * Complete basic daily paperwork * Driving as needed * Other duties as requiredEducation * High School Diploma, GED or equivalentCertification * Must have a clean driving record and be able to obtain a minimum class B (preferably class A) CDLWork Experience * Experience in outdoor construction type work or related industry preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities * Must be able to pass a drug screen (DOT level) and physical * Must be able to travel overnight and be away from home for an extended period, 1-2 weeks * Requires working with equipment that vibrates and to work near moving mechanical parts * Must possess adequate mechanical aptitude and basic math skills * Ability and willingness to work 12 hour shifts including weekends * Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions * Must be dependable, reliable, honest, trustworthy and to work for short periods of time without supervision * Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to interact with employees, customers and vendors * Construction and Welding experience preferredAdditional Requirements/SkillsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. * The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a small hand tools. * The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. * The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. * Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment * Ability and willingness to abide by the Company's Code of Conduct on a daily basisOur Benefits at a Glance:Building tomorrow starts with you, and Granite knows that you can excel only if we support you in and out of the workplace.
