Job Description - Director of Family Minstries Santa Rosa Beach Community Church - www.srbcc.com The Director of Family Ministries will serve the Community Church body with a primary focus on partnering with parents to bring children & students to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This position will make sure there is consistent and intentional discipleship taking place from birth to high school. The Director will put an emphasis on equipping parents to disciple their children by giving resources and events to foster this kind of discipleship. Time per Week: 40 hours a week plus occasional leadership retreats (mixture of in office and youth/children activity attendance) Accountable to: Senior Pastor Target Audience: Families in the community (including preschool) that have children and youth. Church Membership Required : Yes Key Spiritual Gifts: Shepherd, Administration, Teacher, Evangelism Mission Statement : We are a Bible-based family of faith devoted to building and strengthening relationships with God through Jesus Christ while serving the community. Requirements: Agreement with mission, vision, and values of Community Church Team player with a servants heart who is a self-starter and has a passion for developing young disciples. 3+ years of experience ministering to children and/or youth. Undergraduate degree required. Undergraduate degree in children or youth ministry a plus, but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Be able to pass a criminal and credit background check. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, email, Powerpoint, etc.). Familiarity and significant experience with all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Experience working with Canva or other graphic development programs. General comfort level with finances (setting/projecting budget, managing a budget, doing expense reports). Written letter of interest addressing specific interest in this job and cover letter. Primary Responsibilities (not exhaustive): Continue to develop and implement Community Light Family Ministries overall family ministry strategy to support the vision and mission of Community Church. Provide leadership and planning for the implementation of the main children/youth events at Community Church such as VBS, Sunday morning Kids Connection , mission trips, etc. Plan, coordinate, and oversee monthly family events. Oversee weekly chapel (and other regularly scheduled activities) for Community Church Preschool. Proactively identify and welcome children and youth (including parents) who are new or repeat visitors at Sunday worship. Hold quarterly Parent Connect socials for preschool parents. Provide opportunities to equip parents/families for discipling their children. Recruit and coordinate volunteers to help facilitate all ministry activities with children and youth. Submit notices for the bulletin and newsletter to publicize activities. Put out regular social media content (via Facebook, Instagram, web site, etc.) for children and families. Project budget needs for the Childrens and Youth Ministry for each year. Promote community children events for children and families in community not connected to Community Church. Coordinate/communicate with other churches on community-wide children and youth events (where appropriate). Other duties and administrative tasks as assigned. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000 ( commensurate with experience and education) Annual Programming Budget: $5,000-$10,000 Benefits: Paid time off and paid holidays Continuing education opportunities funded by church after one year.
