We have deep industry knowledge and experience to provide complete solutions. We are currently seeking a Control Systems Engineer for our corporate office in Houston. Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Developing PLC/HMI solutions for process monitoring and control applications. Able to read and write programs for various control systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, SCADAPack, etc.) Able to read and interpret technical documentation (P&IDs, ladder logic, function block code, schematics, loop sheets, manuals, etc.) Defining control system designs and documentation. Reviewing control system designs with clients. Process simulation. Specifying and purchasing of hardware/software as required by project. Supporting development of software standards for modular, scalable, and reusable solutions. Assisting in start-up services, troubleshooting, and training for commissioned systems. Willingness to travel – up to 25% Preferred Functions and Responsibilities: Experience with designing and commissioning control systems for ground water, surface water, and wastewater utility systems . Education: BS in Electrical, Controls, or Systems Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred Desired Experience/Qualifications: Experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and commissioning PLC/HMI and SCADA applications with products such as Allen Bradley, Schneider, MapleSystems, Ignition, etc. At least 3 years of experience Experience reading and interpreting ladder logic. Experience with integrating devices from multiple vendors into a packaged solution. Knowledgeable in computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardware. Proficient in the use of Microsoft operating systems and software applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a group setting, team oriented, self-motivated, and results driven. Experience using AutoCAD software Employment at GlobaLogix: GlobaLogix provides a drug free workplace, and the company will require you to participate in its drug testing program. This will include a pre-employment drug screen. GlobaLogix performs a driving record and 7-Point comprehensive criminal screen on all hires. This position is safety sensitive. GlobaLogix also considers driving a safety sensitive function. A constant state of alertness is an essential job function.
