Description:
Job Duties: Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of servicesfrom inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement. Build and manage systems, infrastructure and applications through automation. Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews. Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health. Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms such as automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity. Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems. Together with the full engineering team, share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents. Telecommuting and remote employment permitted. Salary: $220,000 to $253,000. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineering-related position. Special Skill Requirements: At least two (2) years of experience with each of the following skills: 1. Python; 2. AWS; 3. Kubernetes; and, 4. Gitlab. Telecommuting and remote employment permitted.
