Greenhouse Production Planning/Inventory Coordinator Salaried Position Bachman’s is committed to creating a caring environment while inspiring a passion for bringing beauty to life. Our Greenhouse Production Planning/Inventory Coordinator will manage the many aspects of development and execution of the production plan for Bachman's Lakeville Greenhouse Range to ensure financial results. They will also assist in planning development with internal and external customers and communicate this plan on a timely basis to production and other staff as needed to ensure smooth production processes resulting in on-time delivery of high-quality product. Jobs Duties: Develop production plans based on departmental financial and assortment plans. Ensure accuracy of quantities, timing, cost effectiveness, variety selections, vendor selection, etc in the implementation of the production plan. Incorporate space planning into production plan calculations to ensure maximization of space without exceeding capacity. Purchase starter plans needed to fulfill the timely needs of the production plan. Purchase related production supplies to meet the production needs and constraints. Develop and manage all required record keeping, purchase orders, receiving records, etc. Work with the accounts payable staff to ensure all procedures are in properly performed in the purchasing process. Develop and maintain productive vendor relationships that best fulfill Bachman's purchasing needs. Coordinate and perform inventory control activities for the Lakeville greenhouse department while maintaining an accurate computer inventory. Communicate product availability and shortages to wholesale and perishable staff. Develop necessary reports and other communication systems to ensure a smooth and timely product flow. Assist with cost accounting and development of transfer prices. Work with our internal customers to develop potential new products for future production. Assist General Manager and Production Supervisor in overall leadership of greenhouse activities. In the absence of other supervisory staff, play a lead role in department leadership. Other job duties as assigned Qualifications: Post secondary degree in horticultural or related field required. Two years horticultural production experience required. Two years of business analytics experience preferred. One year purchasing experience preferred. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent math skills required. Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills required. Ability to effectively communicate the details of the production plan to internal staff and customers. Proficient in Excel and other desktop applications. Schedule: 40 hours a week, M-F. Weekends and holidays during peak times. Bachman's is an Equal Opportunity EmployerPowered by JazzHR
