My long-standing and profitable client is one of the most technically advanced independent calibration laboratories in the UK and has been around for almost 60 years. They are seeking a customer-facing and excellent communicator to join their family-feel team as a Calibration Engineer. The successful candidate will be working on client sites or in their state-of-the-art mobile laboratories performing calibrations and basic repairs. The Role - Calibration Engineer: - Performing Calibration tests and certifying equipment in the areas of Electrical, Dimensional, Temperature and Humidity, Pressure and Torque at customer sites, mostly Midland-based but also across the country. - Performing thorough equipment inspections- Testing repaired equipment for quality standards- Owning and running the calibration process to ensure all calibrated equipment is compliant with site calibration requirements- Scheduling appointments for equipment maintenance, servicing and calibration with third party vendors where needed- Addressing and troubleshooting any production queries and equipment failures- Managing equipment repairs- Analysing and suggesting equipment upgrades- Maintaining and updating a record of all daily operations- Ensuring a complete stock of calibration equipment and supplies- Maintaining documentation of the calibration process- Maintain defined KPIs- Assisting in preparing calibration certificates and data reports- Provide technical expertise during customer meetings- On or Offsite customer support as necessary- Provide.
