Our company is a seeking highly motivated individual to join our dynamic welding team. This role is at our American Industries location who is a leading provider of new and reconditioned railcar components. We offer a unique incentive-based pay scale that allows you to earn over $30 per hour and rewards your skill and productivity. Duties/Responsibilities: Weld repair and finish grinding of cast steel rail car parts. Move and handle parts and castings to and from work booths as needed. Inspect metal parts and castings to identify conditions that would require repair or reconditioning. Use pneumatic or electric tools to prepare the surface of reconditioned parts or castings prior to or post welding. Always focused on safety. Ability to follow directives and work independently. Ability to meet production goals. Ability to learn and perform different jobs when needed. Heavy use of grinder to be expected. Skills/Experience Requirements: 1+ years of MIG welding experience is required. Experience with foundry grade grinders is a plus. Open Schedule: 1st shift: Monday – Friday, 5:45am-2:15pm. Pay: $18 per hour base + a skill/productivity-based incentive pay. The average payroll for our welders is $26 per hour while the top rate is $32 per hour. Benefits: Paid weekly!
