Prep Cook Position Summary: Murphy’s Taproom Prep Cooks take pride in every plate, making sure they are served picture perfect. Prep Cooks ensure the freshest products are being used to prepare dishes, the line is maintained clean, organized and stocked throughout the shift. They always follow proper health code requirements, food rotation, labeling and sanitation practices. Requirements/Qualifications: Demonstrated 2 years of full service restaurant cooking experience.Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Must have strong knife skills.Must be able to follow written recipes and order tickets.Outstanding verbal communication and organizational skills.Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.Current knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.Ability to work on your feet for 8 or more hours a day.Flexibility with schedule a plus.Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis.
