Job Title: Lifeguard Status: PRN Shift/Hours: varies, must be available 8:30am - 4:00pm Salary Range: $15.50 Messiah Lifeways is seeking a Lifeguard to work Per Diem/PRN as needed to assist with coverage for vacations and other time off. What do I need as a Lifeguard with Messiah Lifeways? Current Lifeguard Certification accepted by the PA Department of Health (preferred). Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (preferred). Experience or training as a lifeguard (preferred). Experience with senior-focused wellness programs (preferred). What will I do as a Lifeguard with Messiah Lifeways? Oversees the safety of all residents in and around the pool. Understands and orients members to procedures in the event of a medical emergency. Understands and orients members to fire procedures. Advocates safety in all areas of the pool and locker rooms. Keeps the pool area free of clutter and equipment in place. Fold & Stock towels on the pool deck and locker rooms to keep full at all times. Empty soiled towel bins in locker rooms and on the pool deck consistently to uphold cleanliness. Follow open & closing procedures for the pool when applicable (empty all soiled towels, restock towels, lock all doors). Maintains confidentiality regarding staff and resident information. Work cooperatively and productively with others, including residents, families, and other employees. Willingness to work under the direction and supervision of the Wellness Manager. Follow emergency procedures and respond rapidly and appropriately to emergencies ensuring the safety of the residents and staff. Follow proper Wellness Center policies and procedures and promote safe work practices in order to maintain a safe working environment.
