Summary of Major Functions : Provide leadership to ensure that all medical practices meet professional standards and the needs of EDCare patients across all sites. Provide medical care to EDCare patients. Adheres, complies, and demonstrates support for the mission, code of conduct and values of EDCare. Clinical Leadership : Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to all medically Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs) across all sites. Sets up meeting with each medical LIP monthly and visits each site at least quarterly. Establishes medical practice standards of excellence for all LIPs and ensures that these standards are being met across all sites, in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer. Ensures that EDCare medical services are compliant with all applicable contractual and regulatory and/or accreditation standards. Collaborates with Chief Medical officer to conduct Peer Reviews to ensure medical providers are qualified, educated, trained, and have the experience to manage EDCare's patient population. Develops targeted education and training for, and provides medical guidance, to LIPs. Addresses patients' medical concerns and inquiries; overseeing medical clearance of patients to programming. Interfaces effectively and timely with clinical personnel, answering questions and be available for communications and emergencies. Collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer to create medically specific protocols, policies and procedures. Conducts training of the medical staff. Administrative Responsibilities: Maintains schedule (PTO requests, time off, etc.) that ensures appropriate staffing coverage for all medical LIPs. Completes medical performance reviews in a timely manner. Actively works with Chief Medical Officer and human resources in the hiring process (reviewing resumes, interviewing, and decision-making). Attends and actively participate and attend Manager Meetings, as requested. Actively work with the Chief Medical Officer and EDCare leaders in establishing, monitoring, and reporting on Quality measures. Periodically report Quality measures to the EDCare Board of Directors, as requested. Understands that management's ultimate goals must be the safety, clinical effectiveness, and the overall success of EDCare as a business. Actively communicates and collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer and other EDCare clinical leaders and management in establishing and maintaining appropriate clinical standards. Actively participates in call responsibilities, as needed, and mutually agreed upon by both parties. Minimum Qualifications: MD or DO Degree in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required. Possess and maintain a valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado required. Possess and maintain a valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in states EDCare operates, within 90 days of hire required. Board certified or Board Eligible required. Prescriptive Authority certification required. Experience in mental health required. Eating disorder experience preferred Computer Skills: Minimum of beginner skills in Microsoft Office suite. Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within an electronic medical records system. Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within various software products.
