Description:
LC State's Controller's Office is looking for a part-time Financial Technician in Accounts Payable. This position can be flexible with the office hours between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Monday through Friday. Hourly Rate: $16.50 - $17.50 This position will report to the Controller and is responsible for handling the day-to-day functions of the accounts payable transactions using an electronic accounting package (Ellucian Colleague). The successful candidate will have one or more years of work experience processing accounts payable, reconciling vendor statements and records, and tracking vendor invoices and payments. A strong work experience with general office and bookkeeping will be helpful for the successful candidate. Prior history of using a software the processes a high volume of transactions is desirable. Some knowledge accounting principles and practices will be helpful, as well as good filing practices. Good customer service working with external and internal customers is a must. Training is provided on all aspects of the job. Required Qualifications: Bookkeeping or general office experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Bookkeeping or general office experience. Working with an accounting software that handles medium to high-end volume of transactions.
