Conway, Mary, Mother of the Redeemer School (MMR) has begun the search for a Vice Principal / Advancement Director. This unique and thriving parish school to over 400 students is located in North Wales, PA. Having just celebrated its 20 th year of Catholic Education, and being deeply seeded in the traditions of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, MMR has carefully crafted its succession plan for the years ahead. While it is currently administrated by Mrs. Denise Judge, the school's direction is to put into action this adaptation to the administrative plan so that MMR School will continue in the custom of dedication to the families it serves and in its commitment to the children who bring it to life. The Position The current principal will work to establish with the vice-principal an understanding of the hallmarks that have come to make MMR the model it is today, as part of the succession plan. When the principal is not present, the vice-principal will assume the recognition of the responsible administrator. Additionally, the candidate will be actively involved as an Advancement Director and will work to forward the mission of the school. Professional Personnel Responsibilities · To assist the principal in upholding the Catholic Identity of the school and all members · To assist the principal in the supervision and evaluation of teachers · To assist the principal in the interviewing, acquisition, and placement of teachers · To assign substitute personnel when needed · To assist in the identification and review of students demonstrating conscious disregard of the school's policies as noted in the Student Handbook · To coordinate the implementation of the Middle States Recommendations Academic Responsibilities · To assist in the growth and development of the faith community throughout the entire school program · To serve as a resource person for teachers in curriculum planning and teacher development · To review lesson plans · To assist the principal in planning areas of focus for in-service programs and faculty meetings · To coordinate the Terra Nova testing program and all activities related to the program · To assist teachers in the need for specialized assessment of children for services Director of Advancement and Development · To promote the Catholic identity of the school · To promote the specialized and unique programs of the school · To oversee recruitment and public relations activities · To coordinate and guide advancement activities and programs that help support, maintain, and advance the mission of the school · To attend Archdiocesan meetings related to the area Candidate Qualifications · Candidates must possess an obvious commitment to Catholic Education. · Candidates must possess no less than a Master's Degree in Educational Administration or related field of study and focus. Principal's certification is significant for consideration. · Candidates must possess excellent writing and communication skills. · Candidates must possess no less than 5 years of instructional, classroom experience.
