The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates ( LSCU & Affiliates ) is looking to hire a full-time Business Development Consultant for the Business Development Group. LSCU & Affiliates represents over 300 credit unions and provides advocacy and regulatory information; education and training; cooperative initiatives; media relations, and business solutions to support its member credit unions in fulfilling their mission of ' People Helping People .' LEVERAGE , the LSCU & Affiliates Service Corporation, equips credit unions with products and services to fulfil their day-to-day needs. With services through preferred business partner relationships, LEVERAGE strives to help credit unions reduce expenses, increase non-interest income, improve regulatory compliance, increase loan growth, and more. Business Development Consultants are part of a sales team that promotes LEVERAGE financial products, services, and solutions to credit unions to increase sales and bring in new business, while executing administrative tasks needed to close the sale . Business Development Consultants are the subject matter experts on LEVERAGE business products and services for internal and external clients. They develop market strategies by researching potential prospects and staying up-to-date on general industry information pertinent to customers, while identifying new and changing market opportunities. As a Business Development Consultant, you will monitor, research, develop, and refine programs, products, and services to better serve our clients' needs, while keeping a record of all work contacts, activities, and reports in Salesforce. You will also attend chapter events and networking opportunities to bring awareness and promote LEVERAGE financial products and services to generate new business leads. What you need to be qualified for this job (see full job description attached): High school diploma or equivalent. Two to five years of sales experience. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Ability to work effectively in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong aptitude for consultative selling and service. You can expect to travel extensively throughout the state of Tennessee Monday through Friday, with occasional nights and weekend engagements.
