Acenda is an integrated health care organization dedicated to industry-leading prevention, treatment and wellness services compassionately delivered to ensure that every individual, family and community achieves their greatest potential. Overview : The NJ Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) network, created regional hubs aligned with court vicinages and Children's System of Care service areas, to support statewide delivery of prevention services in schools, as well as other locations in the community including but not limited to: libraries, community centers, faith-based-organizations and family success centers. The hubs would be the administrative and organizational center, staffed by a director, support staff, prevention specialists and mental health counselors who will be mobilized to delivery services locally, when and where they are needed, both in school and community settings. Most importantly the hub staff will have the ability to connect students and their parents/caregivers with other community services, both clinical and non-clinical, beneficial to student social, emotional and mental health and well-being Job Function: Under direction of the Hub Director, the NJ4S Hub Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the staff and activities of the Hub office and operational unit(s). The Hub Assistant Director will be responsible for helping to ensure that all levels of the Program are trauma-informed, collaborative and inclusive of the appropriate stakeholders' feedback and suggestions. To qualify for the Hub Assistant Director position, you need to have the below minimum requirements and experience: Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, public administration, social work, etc.) 1-3 years of relevant experience, required. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in community organizing, developing community partnerships and project management Minimum of five (5) years of experience analyzing, monitoring, maintaining, or implementing social service, community service, evidence-based programs, or any other human support/assistance program, three (3) of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity. Ability to work with diverse, high-risk populations in need of support services and case management. Strong written and verbal communication skills, cultural competency required Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record. To be a successful HUB Assistant Director you must be able to do the following essential duties and responsibilities: Responsible for providing general administrative and/or fiscal management activities, program policy and planning services, along with varied social, community, and/or educational related services for the region Supervisory oversight and management of the Hub staff and the model to ensure alignment with program procedures and DCF Operations Manual Assists the Director in the development of the program's administrative and programmatic operations. Develops and maintains partnerships and collaborations with school districts and community resources and ensures program availability, opportunities and successes are marketed to promote program sustainability Ensures proper maintenance of documentation requirements. Ensures availability of performance measurement data for review and analysis.
