Behavior Therapist and RBT Jobs with Free Training If you're looking for a job in behavioral health, KidsSPOT is the perfect place for you. We're a leading provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy. You will be trained for free to become a Registered Behavioral Technician. This includes preparation for the RBT competency assessment and RBT exam. The training program meets the 40-hour RBT requirements and additional training is provided to fully prepare you to receive your RBT credential. What is a Registered Behavioral Technician? An RBT is a paraprofessional in behavior analysis who practices under the close, ongoing supervision, of a BCBA or, BCaBA. Our RBT definition is a person who is curious, eager to learn, energetic, generous to others, motivated, has excellent communication skills, and emotional intelligence, and is passionate about providing excellent customer service. Start Here. Go Anywhere! A: Provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism in a home-based setting. Teach children with autism, communication, social, and self-help skills in an individual or small group setting. Collect data to monitor the progress of the children on the autism spectrum. Provide regular written and verbal progress on treatment goals. Follow all policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, privacy and reporting standards as set by our clinical team. Keep up social distancing, safety, and good hygiene both at work and at home. We'll provide you with PPE and communication tools and limit your exposure to others. Communicate clearly and effectively - both orally and written - with clients, families, and colleagues. Attend meetings, training, and workshops to acquire further knowledge. B: Successful candidates for Registered Behavior Technician positions often have experience interacting with children or individuals with special needs in roles such as, but not limited to, certified nursing assistant CNA, special education teacher, teaching assistant, childcare worker, or paraprofessional. Have experience interacting with children (preferably children with developmental disorders or delays but that is not required). Are sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population of children. Have the ability to remain calm and neutral in challenging situations. Have reliable means of transportation. Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Be 18 years of age or older. C: Supported career growth and education path: the opportunity for a behavior technician to move into RBT Levels 1-3. Lead RBT, Intern, Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, or Operations roles as you progress in your career.
