Assurance Manufacturing is an employee-owned company that specializes in precision sheet metal fabrication, stamping, machining, and assembly. We are located in a modern manufacturing facility. We are looking for a Laser/Turret Programmer on our 1st Shift in our Coon Rapids facility. Laser/Turret Programmer Responsibilities: Program Laser and Turret machines for production runs. Program the Virtek measurement machine for inspection of parts. Aid the Sales & Estimating department with quotes for the Laser & Turret processes Follow procedures in relations to storage of CAD files and prints. Work with sales engineers to resolve any issues with customer provided prints and CAD per procedure. Communicate relevant or potential issues with the Production Manager. Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area per standard 5S practices. Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Follow Control of Nonconforming Product Procedure. Follow procedures in relation to inspection of parts. Follow work order procedures and routings; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions, drawings, and specifications provided for the job. Crosstrain in other areas of the plant as necessary to meet production demands. Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines. Perform other related duties as assigned. Laser/Turret Programmer Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical certificate or degree preferred. Three plus years' experience setting up and or programming Turrets and Lasers preferred. Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms. Basic setup and troubleshooting abilities with Turret and Lasers. Basic understanding of mathematics. Basic understanding of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints. Ability to measure parts with edge testers, surface profilometers, calipers and micrometers. Ability to read blueprints and GDT. Good teamwork and communication skills. Ability to multitask. Knowledge of CAD Software.
