And through this work, we create a better future for people, products, and the planet. We are looking for a Purchasing and Inventory Specialist who is willing to innovate, learn, and grow with us. The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining vendor relationships to obtain materials, goods, and services efficiently and economically for Meyers' manufacturing operations. The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist will monitor appropriate inventory levels to ensure all necessary materials are available for production jobs. Some of the responsibilities would include: Manages vendor relationships and interactions. Responsible for keeping up to date on new materials, material changes and industry trends. Submits and monitors supplier NCRs. Verifying proper credit is received and are processed on a timely basis. Works with Director of Supply Chain to complete supplier evaluations based on predetermined KPIs. Issues purchase orders or credit card orders for production, tech services and corporate office needs. Determines material lead times and availability, prioritizes orders to meet production timelines. Works closely with scheduling and suppliers of raw materials to ensure just in time delivery of all inbound materials. Documents and communicates estimated cost overruns to all necessary stakeholders. Participates in physical inventory counts at month and fiscal year end. Creates new perpetual inventory items as needed and approved. Some key must-haves are: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate or Bachelor college degree strongly desired. At least two years related experience required. Thorough understanding of litho, flexo and digital printing processes, materials, and supplies. Working knowledge of PC applications and inventory systems. Extensive knowledge of printing stock performance and products Excellent oral and written communication skills, mathematical aptitude, and attention to detail.
