JOB DESCRIPTION VLCM, a leading IT solutions provider for 40 years, is seeking an experienced Datacenter Storage Architect to join our team in Murray, UT. In this role, you will lead the consultative discovery process of our clients' business goals and challenges and translate them into effective IT solutions. In addition, you will work closely with internal and external partners to design solutions that leverage VLCM's consulting, development, deployment, migration, and augmented services capabilities. As an Architect, your primary responsibility will be selling and architecting market-leading IT solutions. In addition, you will lead pre-sales activities, including proposal development, proof-of-concept construction, demonstrations, roadmaps, and architectural design sessions. Therefore, it would be best if you had a clear understanding of various IaaS/PaaS services, reference architectures, and expertise in infrastructure, security, DevOps, and high-performance computing. WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO You will be responsible for the design of services engagements in functional IT areas such as: Infrastructure as a Service Platform as a Service End User Computing/VDI Hybrid Connectivity Security DevOps High Performance Computing Development and test Storage, Backup, and Recovery To be successful in this role, you must position yourself as a trusted advisor to our clients and provide recommendations for various migrations and technical implementation roadmaps. You should be able to design state-of-the-art technical solutions that address our customers' scalability, reliability, security, and performance requirements. In addition, you will collaborate with other project teams on technical solutions and help improve VLCM's services IP. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Essential qualifications for this position include at least five years of designing and implementing complex IT solutions, with 5+ years of experience working with mid-market or enterprise environments across multiple verticals. In addition, strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations are necessary.
