POSITION SCOPE: The Traffic Control Flagger must be able to control traffic through worksites safely. The individual will be responsible for controlling traffic at worksites by flagging to guide traffic through work areas as required or assigned. Position requires extensive travel and living at or near job sites. Position also requires passing a background check to gain access to a Government worksite. PRIMARY DUTIES: Follows daily procedures and protocols set forth in job orientations and trainings. Perform general flagging duties as required or directed by supervisor. Report defects or repairs as necessary to supervisor. Individual must be able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. on a regular basis. The use of a shovel to move material will be necessary. Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by M.S.H.A. and company policy. Perform pre-shift inspections on jobsite prior to startup. Other duties as assigned.
