Preschool Teacher Job Description Responsibilities for Preschool Teacher: Provide a safe and loving environment for the preschoolers in their care. Planning and delivering lessons to facilitate student's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Tending to student's basic needs per licensing regulations, making sure faces and bodies are clean, and helping them at mealtime if necessary. Mediating conflicts between students. Model appropriate behaviors at all times. Ensure play, sleep and bathroom areas are kept clean. Maintain daily open communication with parents. Maintain confidentiality. Qualifications for Preschool Teacher: Completion of the Early Childhood courses as designed by the state Child Care authority. Meet annual professional development requirements, per state regulations. Ability to pass a drug screen and background check. Warm, approachable disposition and excellent problem-solving skills. Caring individual who enjoys teaching young children. Ability to lift as much as 70 pounds. Ability to work a shift in between 7:00 am - 5:30 pm that changes weekly. Reliable transportation to IWCP. Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents. At least one year of childcare experience is required. Associate degree in ECE, a CDA, or a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, is required. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
