Mechanical Drafter Job Summary: The Mechanical Drafter is responsible for the drafting/drawings of roller coaster and amusement ride mechanical systems. Responsibilities: Quickly and efficiently draft designs based on industry standards Work independently or with a team to complete complex mechanical system designs. Facilitate on-time and on-budget completion of large-scale drafting assignments. Organize system-level and component design reviews. Communicate mechanical design concepts and solutions through drawings effectively to a variety of interests (e.g. engineering, manufacturing and service personnel). Recognize and implement efficient practices for drafting large mechanical systems using SolidWorks. The employee must possess the essential knowledge and skills described below. Requirements: Certified SolidWorks Associate in Mechanical Design Certified SolidWorks Professional in Mechanical Design Completion of an accredited college-level or technical school design program. CAD proficiency with at least 2 years' professional experience designing mechanical systems in SolidWorks or similar software. Organizational ability and proven attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Work history that includes demonstrated leadership skills.
