Helping Hands Transportation Services, LLC Dispatcher Helping Hands Transportation Services, LLC is a family-owned, small business based in LeClaire, IA and services clients throughout the Quad Cities region. Helping Hands is a transportation company that transports special needs individuals as needed. Helping Hands is in search of a Dispatcher to join their team! We are looking for someone who cares about our business and our mission. This position will work from home and the hours will be flexible. This can be a full- or part-time role. Job Summary: The Dispatcher will coordinate and schedule drivers for pick-up and drop-off of clients in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Duties/Responsibilities: Schedules drivers for pick-up and drop-off; selects most efficient routes for each driver. Oversees equipment availability; assigns drivers, vans, and extra drivers when needed. Anticipates weather complications along routes and at the drivers' destinations; communicates delays as necessary to clients. Maintains radio and/or phone contact with drivers; receives and dispatches response and emergency aid when needed. Maintains and reviews billing and operation records; monitors daily logs for errors and/or compliance violations. Oversees maintenance and repair schedules for vehicles. Assist with administrative, bookkeeping and payroll tasks. Performs other related duties as assigned by Owner. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills to prepare and assign routes. Strong leadership skills to ensure drivers' compliance with direction and assignments. Basic understanding of geographical area and mapping programs to facilitate efficient routing. Proficient with or able to quickly learn dispatch and recordkeeping systems. Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
