Since 2006, Dragonfly has provided routine maintenance and repairs on stormwater devices, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and underground facilities. The Company services the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, from Maryland to Florida with over 100 employees. Role and Responsibilities Working under the direct supervision of the Crew Leader and reporting to the Regional Manager, this is a field-based position and functions as an integral component to the smooth and profitable execution of work in the field. While each project is different, the technician's responsibilities encompass the following: Assist Foreman on all aspects of pond maintenance services. Mowing/string trimming slopes and basins of ponds Selective removal of invasive plants around ponds Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks. Collection of company owned equipment and tools at the end of the day. May be asked to help in other divisions such as inspection repair as needed. Safe operation of the following landscaping equipment: Mowers - Stand on, Walk behind, and Ventrac Edger, string trimmers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers Backpack sprayers and blowers Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools Underpinnings of Success Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks Must wear work boots, Dragonfly Pond Works uniforms, and present yourself in a clean and polite manner Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others Valid NC Driver's license and good driving record preferred Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must comply with Dragonfly's policies and procedures Why choose Dragonfly Pond Works?
