The Stark County Park District has an opening for a Capital Planning & Projects Coordinator to provide administrative support and assistance on various park and administrative projects. Under the direction of the Administration and Project Manager, the Capital Planning & Projects Coordinator helps move a variety of planning, grant and land acquisition projects to completion by performing administrative and project based tasks such as production and distribution of documents, file management, data collection, report creating, proofreading, etc. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Manages day to day execution of assigned projects by completing various administrative tasks including production and distribution of documents, correspondence related to project activities, presentations, maps, and other related project materials.· Assists Administration and Project Manager in development, planning, management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcome of assigned projects.· Effectively communicates relevant project information to supervisor, team members, legal counsel, and various stakeholders.· Responsible for drafting, review and process titles, contracts, leases and other legal documents. Produces and maintains project calendars, project plans and is responsible for maintaining project portfolios and associated documents.· Responsible for tracking various project finances, preparing disbursement requests and purchase orders prior to project implementation, as needed.· Assists in development of project work plans and deadlines and assists in creation of project budgets as appropriate.· Assists in the administration of various types of grants including producing grant reports and coordinating due diligence items such as appraisals, surveys, and inspections.· Coordinates correspondence with regulatory agencies in conjunction with acquiring permits and various permissions for project development.· With help from Natural Resources Department, maintains and updates spatial relational databases of Stark County Park District assets as it relates to land acquisitions, property lines, easements and right of way access.· Assist with the data gathering, compilation, GPS, mapping, and data analysis. Responsible for Producing accurate maps and other representations of data for public use and field work activity.· Assists the Administrative and Project Manager and Park Director, as needed, in public meetings with governmental agencies, land owners, utilities, and other divisions to coordinate and inform about ongoing projects.· All other duties as assigned. SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: · Strong planning, organizational skills and time management skills· Strong database management and some application programming skills· Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing· Ability to handle multiple projects at once· Ability to handle confidential information and work independently without supervision· Proven ability to deliver timely, detailed and accurate work· Intermediate experience with GIS (geographic information systems) and applicable software (ArcGIS)· Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Construction Management or related field and 2 (two) years' experience in administrative and/or project management capacity required, equivalent experience in lieu of education considered. 2 (two) to 3 (three) years of GIS experience (ArcGIS), or professional GIS certificate program required.CERTIFICATIONS:Must have a valid driver's license and automotive insurance.WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS:Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job including but not limited to: ability to talk clearly and hear, use hands and fingers to handle/feel, regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel and crouch. Occasional ability to lift/carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance. Vision abilities include close, distance and peripheral vision. Exposed to quiet to moderate noise levels.EQUIPMENT:Expected to effectively operate general office equipment, phone system, GIS software and park vehicles.Pay Range: $22.86-$27.94/Hourly Job Posted by ApplicantPro
