For over 100 years, YMCA Camp Cormorant has offered spirit, tradition, leadership and exceptional facilities to campers. Founded in 1903, Camp Cormorant is one of the oldest overnight camps in the entire nation. The camp is nestled on 80 acres of wooded property with an extensive beach front on Big Cormorant Lake. We are located approximately six miles south of Lake Park, MN, in the heart of Minnesota lakes country. The YMCA Camp Cormorant offers more than just a job - we offer the chance to make a lasting difference for the youth in our community! To learn more about the YMCA's Camp Cormorant, CLICK HERE! Camp Head Cook: Under supervision of the Camp Director, this position fills out order forms, prepares and serves healthy meals to the staff and campers at the camp Prepares menu and the daily or weekly supply lists Responsible for the organization and cleaning of the kitchen Brings in deliveries and maintains inventory Cleans and cares for the kitchen and dining hall Meets and maintains appropriate health standards Pay & Benefits: $500-600/week You will be paid a weekly rate of pay and paid bi-weekly Free room and board at the camp if you live at camp for the summer Qualifications: At least 21 years of age 1 year of cooking experience 6 months experience working with youth CPR & First Aid Certification - (Willing to train during the first week of camp) Current driver's license and YMCA insurance approved driving record Serv Safe/MN Kitchen Manager Certification - Willing to train The YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties conducts a pre-employment background check on all employees.
