Description:
Job Requirements: Assemble electrical assemblies by combining fabricated components and commercial off-the-shelf (COTs) items Integrate circuit card assemblies into various types of chassis Assembles harnesses and electrical devices (switches, relays, and circuit boards) per drawings and wiring diagrams, military specifications, and/or technical manuals. Tools used: screwdrivers, wrenches, soldering irons, wire strippers, heat guns, crimpers, power crimpers, pull testers, retention tools, solder sleeves, cable testers, and cable scans. Cuts, Strips wire, attach pins and assembles harnesses, and recovers heat shrink and maker sleeves as required. Reads and interprets documents such as engineered drawings, schematics, work order travelers, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work process specifications, and procedure manuals. Carries out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Performs other duties, as required. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED required. Proven work experience as an Electrical Assembler or similar role. Experience using various harness fabrication methods and tools. The ability to follow work instructions, and interpret wiring schematics, and drawings to produce sub-assemblies or final assemblies. Good hand-eye coordination to install and route wiring harnesses, install connectors and make basic connections per work instructions and drawings.
