1:1 Part-time Support Staff Need - (JOB # JF-JP) Exceptional Family Resources is currently seeking a kind, engaging Direct Support Professional to work with a young man in the Clay area. This position will require a support staff to assist this young man in getting out into the community to identify recreational activities of interest. Any potential staff should be comfortable driving a wheelchair accessible van which is provided by the family for such outings. This young man is looking for a support staff that will assist him with his personal care needs. Potential staff should also be comfortable working in a home that has a dog. This specific position is a combination of Community Habilitation and Respite services, any candidate should be receptive to supporting this young man through both services. This is a part-time position but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency. Starting pay : Starting pay is $17/hour and increases with years of relevant experience. Schedule: Mondays and Fridays 9:15am-1:15pm, Thursday's 3:30pm-5:30pm, Friday's 3:30pm-7:30pm Location: Clay, NY Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills. No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community. All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check completed by Exceptional Family Resources (EFR). EOE EFR is a qualified employer in the New York State Health Care and Mental Hygiene Worker Bonus (HWB) Program. Employees who meet the minimum required hours may be eligible for up to two bonuses, with a total maximum payout of $3000.
