Support Broker and Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator (Self-Direction Services-Syracuse Area) We are seeking an OPWDD authorized Support Broker who is interested in split role of 50% Brokerage and 50% Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator in the Central New York area. This person will work closely with individuals and families, as well as their Support Brokers, staff, and other service members to provide support and oversight of their Self-Direction budgets and services. We Offer: A competitive base salary of $ 46,720 (higher salary awarded based on relevant experience and education) One hour paid lunch each day and potential to work some hours from home Paid Time Off (PTO) Health, Vision and Dental Insurance 401(k) Retirement match of up to 4% Flexible spending account Opportunities for continuing education and training opportunities like remitted tuition and voluntary training at the agency Position Responsibilities: The development and oversight of Self-Direction budgets and services Assisting individuals and families monitor their budgets and expenses Developing Staff Action Plans and Safeguards Training and supervising Direct Support Professionals Participating in Lifeplan review and Planning Team meetings at the office and in the community Reviewing and approving payroll, expenses, and all service documentation; ensuring Medicaid compliance, and providing training and technical support to individuals and staff to learn the on-line eVero documentation system Providing education and training to participant and Planning Team in implementing the SD plan and budget Effective delivery of training and instruction to groups and individuals Essential Skills: Understanding of computer software essential, experience working with eVero software a plus! Ability to supervise staff working in the community Ability to work with a diverse population Ability to interact professionally with all stake holders, including individuals, families, parents, Direct Support Professionals, agencies, and businesses Qualifications: Knowledge of the delivery of OPWDD Self-Direction services Experience working with individuals and family members of people with disabilities Associates Degree or higher level of education preferred Background in supervising staff preferred Effective communication, time management and organizational skills required Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings as needed Must have reliable transportation to attend meetings at various locations, including people's homes throughout the region Established in 1976, Exceptional Family Resources is a family orientated organization that provides services to people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
