Description:
Harbor House is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to join our Development Department. The Events Manager will strategically develop, manage, and grow Harbor House fundraising events, lead peer-to-peer event fundraising communications tied to fundraising metrics and determine goals and budgets for events. This individual will also collaborate closely with the Director of Shelter Services to develop annual and monthly events calendar for the clients we serve. Education and Training: Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer. Other Job Requirements: Create and manage event logistics including but not limited to negotiates contracts with outside vendors; organizes logistics, décor; permits, venues, and signage. Experience planning fundraising events and silent auctions. Works with development and marketing team to market and promote events. Must attend a three-day training to become CORE certified prior to working with survivors. Experience: 2-3 yrs. experience in special events coordination, fundraising, public speaking and sales Harbor House is an equal opportunity employer and drug free workplace.
