What do I need as a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA with Messiah Lifeways? High School Diploma or equivalent Nursing Assistant training and current registration on the Nurse Aide Registry Meet the requirements to maintain registration on the Nurse Aide Registry. What will I do as a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA with Messiah Lifeways? work with residents with dementia and memory concerns performing tasks related to personal hygiene and physical comfort of residents as required or requested. Assist with treatments and therapies under the direction of licensed personnel and according to departmental policy. Serve and assist residents with nourishments and feeding. Transfer residents from bed to chair, etc., with personnel or mechanical assistance. Prepare and/or transport residents to and from activities, physician visits, therapy, beauty shop, or other facilities, as directed during shift assignments. Observe residents, charting and/or documenting physical conditions, attitudes and appetites, reporting changes or unusual findings to Staff Nurses.
