Ready Mix Concrete Plant Maintenance Technician The Plant Maintenance Technician assists in the maintenance and setup of plant and equipment. Is able to operate, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair Ready Mix plant and related equipment. Operates company vehicle, fork lift, loader and loader attachments. Primary Job Functions: May work shift work to fill in for shift vacancies. May be on call for emergency response.Assists in maintenance, upkeep and safe operation of plant machinery and equipment including, but not limited to the following:• Maintain/trouble shoot air compressors, water pumps, air compressors, regulators, etc.• A variety of other plant equipment including pressure regulators, relief valves, safety shutdown systems, electric motors, blowers, fans, etc.• Troubleshoots machinery and equipment during plant operating and non-operating periods.• Performs work in confined spaces • Reads drawings, schematics and maps...• Responsible for getting equipment back in operation in the event of a failure under adverse working conditions and in limited time.• Maintains records of work performed and parts replaced on plant machinery and equipment.• Prepares list and stocks replacement parts and materials for machinery and equipment maintenance.• Performs maintenance, and setup as required at other Ready Mix Plants • Works with shop support on various projects, capital projects, major maintenance projects, etc.• Responsible for keeping all tools, at assigned facility, in good working and safe condition to meet industry standards.• Performs building and facility maintenance as required Minimum Experience: • High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D. • Formal technical training preferred. • Requires a minimum of 18 months of related technical experience with Ready Mix Concrete plant setup and repair. • Must have intermediate computer skills, such as opening and closing files, data-entry, creating and modifying spreadsheets and word documents, saving files, sending and receiving emails with attachments, etc. Compensation: Compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience Must possess current valid driver license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
