A Day in the Life as the Financial Reporting and Analytics Accountant Under the direction of the CFO and Assistant Controller, the Financial Reporting and Analytics Accountant will be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting and ad-hoc data analysis which benefits operating departments of the Cub, Board of Governors, and Finance Committee, maintaining existing reporting structure and software, and implementing new software. A successful candidate must have a positive attitude, be engaging, and be ready to take ownership of processes and tasks that would be included in daily responsibilities. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong competence in data analysis and ad-hoc reporting utilizing proprietary systems, data query applications, and MS Excel Experience reviewing and streamlining business processes, including gathering and documenting business requirements, developing and implementing new processes and procedures Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision Must take pride in and maintain integrity in their work Ability to translate data to a non-technical audience in a clear and concise manner Provide excellent customer service to all teammates Strong verbal and written communication skills Bachelor's degree in accounting, data analytics or related field Club or hospitality experience is a plus Ability to perform tasks requiring sustained repetitive motion and/or fine motor skills Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with monthly financial reporting, cash reconciliations, maintaining fixed assets system Daily, weekly, and monthly data analysis and ad-hoc reporting Design, create, maintain and optimize data visualizations and other tools to provide actionable insights that enhance business decision making. Create reports and analytical dashboards through Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, QlikSense, Northstar Develop, query, and maintain database systems where necessary Further develop the Club's approach to operational analytics, data visualization, analysis, and modeling Develop strategies to leverage data and support company goals through the delivery of easy-to-use reports and dashboards, sophisticated data analysis, and advanced data modeling efforts Identify undocumented processes and methodologies, provide feedback to management for improvements Establish testing protocols to ensure the accuracy of the data presented Evaluate and select technology solutions for data visualization and data mining Collaborate and communicate regularly with the executive management team Assist the team with monthly inventory counts Additional information Status: full-time, exempt Successful candidate is subject to background and credit check No phone calls, please Software and providers utilize by the Club Northstar, Qlik Sense, Power BI, CedarCreek (BirchStreet), CS Fixed Assets ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR BUSINESS OFFICE TEAM?
