Pay is $18.44/hour plus $3/hour shift premium = $21.44/hour Basic Purpose and Scope: The QC Technician I will conduct analytical testing on product and monitor micro samples submitted for labeling accuracy. Monitor all CCPs for formulated products. Perform all job duties and operations in a safe manner, while following all federal, state, and Litehouse regulations and policies - Always 2. Understand and be able to use all necessary lab testing equipment - 35% 3. Perform and understand analytical tests on ingredients and finished goods - 35% 4. Perform qualitative sensory testing for every batch produced - 15% 5. Perform data entry of test results via computer software or written methods - 6% 6. Notify appropriate personnel if product is out of specification or for paperwork discrepancies - 5% 7. Monitor chemical concentrations - 2% 8.Review batch records and finished good jobs for accuracy and consistency - 2% 9. Inspect processing equipment for cleanliness following the Allergen wash as necessary - 1% 10. Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor - Ongoing 11. Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary - Ongoing 12. Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements - Ongoing 13. Other activities and duties as assigned - Ongoing Supervisory Responsibilities: None Minimum Qualifications Required to Perform Work: 1. Education: High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred 2. Certifications: None 3. Experience: None 4. Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos 5. Ability to write basic correspondence 6. Computer Skills Data Entry 7. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations 8. Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills 9. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language 10. Over 55 lbs. must be with two or more individuals or with mechanical aides (hoist, dolly cart, forklift) Employee will be required to perform: Climbing 5% Bending/stooping; kneeling 20-50%; Crouching 5%; twisting 50-80% Use of upper/lower extremities: Fine Manipulation/Fingering 100% Grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, reaching (shoulder height or below) 80-100% Sensory Requirements: Speech, vision, smell, touch and hearing Work Environment: Temperature: Normal inside range Normal with the possibility of potential extremes Humidity: Wet/Humid Atmospheric Conditions and Noise: Noise.
