We're hiring for a Director of Sales on our Taper Team. This is a full time field based position where you have the flexibility to work from home with full benefits including a 401K and a salary range of $120,000 to $145,000. Ecology Action seeks a self-starting professional with managerial experience and a proven track record in sales. The Director of Sales manages all sales efforts, giving priority to strategically launching new products or services into the market and ensuring customer service standards are high and continually improving. The Director also establishes priorities and manages workflow for the sales management team, developing a trained and organized salesforce. The ideal candidate will demonstrate passion and enthusiasm, with self-confidence that translates well to customers, partners and colleagues. Summary of responsibilities: Sets sales objectives and marshals the necessary resources to achieve them. Works with the VP of Sales on product development initiatives, sales strategies and most importantly, a trained, organized salesforce. Guides, develops and manages a team of regional managers; ensuring that regional managers hire and develop the best sales talent available. Coaches, teaches and motivates sales representatives to achieve performance objectives. Fosters a culture and environment that attracts top performers. Organizes the sales management team to meet the yearly sales goals. Helps to shape the organization's sales policies and objectives. Guides, leads or participates in selling complex solutions. Accurately forecasts sales trends and commitments with sales management team. Executes territory allocation, develops market-based quotas. Guides and leads in ongoing skill development for the team. Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience 2-4 years outside sales experience. 2-5 years regional manager experience. Established record of selecting, engaging, and developing top talent, and recognizing future management opportunities. Ability to direct the activities of a regional sales management team. Ability to analyze regional and territorial potential. Experience developing and executing a sales performance plan to ensure corrective action is taken when needed, and in compliance with guidelines. Experience with solutions/consultative selling and understanding of navigating through an organization and identifying the key stakeholders in decision making. Solid problem-solving skills, with experience in problem resolution across company divisions. Strong financial acumen with a good understanding of evidence-based management. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively in writing, via telephone, and with large groups. Comfortable saying "no" when necessary and appropriate. Demonstrated passion, enthusiasm, and self-confidence. Desired Qualifications BA in Business, or equivalent Experience working with Marketing to build marketing programs for various programs. Understanding of key industry trends and competitors, ability to accurately forecast sales predictions and shifts in the marketplace. Ability to generate and explain compensation programs, quota assignments, and territory realignments. Good analytical and organizational skills. Experience designing and conducting quarterly sales training, and in-house product training. Compensation: Ecology Action offers a competitive salary and a generous benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision and flexible spending benefits; a 401k-retirement plan with a 4% match; and group life insurance. Driving an insured personal vehicle on company business is required, and mileage reimbursement is provided at the Federal rate.
