JOB OVERVIEW MartinFed has an opening for a Cyber Security Forensics Engineer and Data Specialist to join our team of talented and diverse individuals. This role is responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining technical data tracking and collection capabilities in cyber-related settings. Also, will be responsible for providing deployment/technical support to internal and external users, consumers, or providers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Serve as a technical contact and subject matter expert for operational cyber-related data needs for deployed systems. Install, configure, test, deploy, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot data tracking equipment, networks, and tools, ensuring appropriate requirements, standards, and overall data delivery needs are met. Implement technical cyber-related data filtering requirements for packet switched data. Determine appropriate environment for various data collection and analysis solutions (on-premises, cloud, external provider, etc.) Provide technical recommendations that comply with strict or unique policy requirements. Monitor and review logs for data integrity issues. Collaborate with personnel and assist with analyzing data and troubleshooting related network issues which may interfere with data collection. May be required to be available/on-call for operational or technical maintenance needs. QUALIFICATIONS US Citizen with a DoD Top Secret clearance with CI Polygraph/SCI eligibility. Bachelor's Degree and 4 to 7 years of specialized experience; or 7 to 15 years general experience in lieu of college degree with 10 years of specialized experience. Experience deploying packet switched data tracking tools for law enforcement purposes. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) while interacting with customers, external service entities, and as part of a technical team. Delivering presentations and providing training on industry standards. Expert on industry requirements and capabilities for capturing packet data. Experience working in a scaled production environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Deploying and supporting or designing cyber or digital/network forensics data tracking/retrieval hardware and software solutions. Experience with LiveAction tools and tcpdump /Wireshark. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Inside office environment. Working on a computer for long periods of time. May involve long period of sitting at a desk. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
