Be a Star at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts! The Web Developer is responsible for supporting the architecture, technical direction, and operational readiness of the business-critical, high-volume e-commerce web site. This position will work with the Senior Director of Digital Marketing to plan for the desired features and functionality requirements of the Straz Center's web site and mobile applications. The Straz Center is seeking candidates to join our team who have a passion for advancing the arts and embraces the Straz Center's mission and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Essential Functions: Responsible for supporting the architectural design and programming of the ecommerce website. Develops new feature requests and bug fixes, enhances, and maintains the website; Trouble-shoots problems that lead to issues in the application. Develops and maintains web site using 3rd party database REST API. Serves as technical advisor for web development. Tests web programs and site, corrects errors, and makes necessary modifications. Maintains, patches, and tests upgrades and changes using separate testing environment; Schedules and implements in production environment. Investigates and suggests appropriate new web technologies. Develops and maintains thorough documentation of web site and systems. Creates and maintains a complete testing plan for system upgrades. Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard information on web site and system. Works with Senior Director of Digital Marketing to assist with outside developers and coordinate web projects. Supports projects to increase revenue through web and e-commerce site. Evaluates results from web logs and analytics to improve web and e-commerce site. Runs and maintains Queue-It, the Straz Center's traffic queue. Manages and maintains Iovations fraud software. Clear Imperva Cloud WAF and ACE caches when needed. Is available for on-call and after-hours support, as needed. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): In-depth knowledge of programming technologies: HTML, ASP.NET, C#, JQUERY, .NET Core, and XML, as well as relational database integration in the form of an API. Familiarity with technologies, such as REST, HTML 5, Smartphone application development, and mobile-optimized web site tools. Working knowledge of Content management systems (CMSs), Umbraco experience preferred. In-depth knowledge of IIS features and administration. Proven production support of web applications in a 24X7 environment. In-depth knowledge of security best practices, including web application firewall usage. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and work with support staff to resolve. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work and communicate with non-technical staff. Self-starter, ability to work with little supervision on short-term projects. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Education and Work Experience: Associate degree or equivalent experience required. At least two years' experience supporting an ASP, .net, C#, REST web application. The employee is frequently required to traverse, move, and reach throughout the facility to complete tasks. Occasionally move boxes or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Ascend/descend ladders or stairs in the facility. Position self to be able to access confined areas in the facility. The nature of this job requires the employee to work on-site as a regular work routine. COVID vaccination preferred.
