DAY TO DAY AS A JOB RETENTION SPECIALIST - CASE MANAGER As a Job Retention Specialist - Case Manager at our human services nonprofit, you have the exciting opportunity to provide unwavering support and counseling for our incredible HERO Dads participants in their new jobs! You are a superhero, assisting with any work-related or transitional benefit issues they may face and staying in touch with them to identify any personal or social concerns that may arise. By making referrals and offering resolutions, you're a beacon of hope to these dads and their families. But wait, there's more! You also maintain fantastic relationships with employers in our community, ensuring their satisfaction with our program and resolving any issues that may arise. Coordinating with our awesome job developers, you keep up-to-date job retention information, recording and monitoring job placement and employment retention data in Salesforce and other cutting-edge case management systems. If that wasn't enough, you also offer employment counseling and refer our HERO Dads to support services and educational programs when needed. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A JOB RETENTION SPECIALIST - CASE MANAGER Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, education, or a related field 1+ year of case management or related experience Experience working with individuals with socio-economic barriers OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience Covid-19 vaccination You will need to be able to communicate effectively and empathetically, while also demonstrating a strong sense of emotional intelligence. You should possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to think creatively to develop solutions to complex issues. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of human services nonprofit programs and be able to stay up-to-date on changes and updates to employment laws and regulations.
