In addition, the Onboarding Specialist performs various administrative tasks to support the efficient running of the office and the Human Resources Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland and Solterra's Core Values at the forefront. Works closely with hiring managers and uses company systems for applicant intake, initiates drug screening and background checks, ensures complete and correct new hire forms packets, and enters personnel information into company systems. Directs New Employee Orientation (NEO) Program, including course content, presenter scheduling, audio/visual services, registration, attendance tracking, training records, Welcome Folders; orders and maintains new hire Welcome Bag and PPE inventory; supports regional staff to deliver equivalent onboarding experience as is received in the Corporate Headquarters. Uses applicant tracking system to screen applicants, forward qualified applicants to hiring managers, and disposition applications. Prepares monthly applicant flow and AAP logs for management. Performs E-verify of new hires; maintains and administers I-9 files and performs monthly retention functions in compliance with federal regulations. Takes fingerprints; maintains and administers Fingerprint files. Assists with career fairs. Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information. Maintains highest standards of customer service; responds to questions and direct callers appropriately and timely. Serves as an ambassador of safety by promoting and enforcing a safety culture that complies with federal, state, local, contract and company regulations. All other duties assigned. Serves as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Company safety policy, enforces safe work practices, and proactively identifies and remedies worksite hazards. Physical Demands and Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc. May be required to work on a project site and if so, would be exposed to all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures. Employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand. TRAVEL Ability to travel when necessary, approximately 10%. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Work Experience A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous office and HR experience is preferred. Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English. Bilingual: Spanish Fluency is preferred. Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
