DAY-TO-DAY FOR A SUMMER CAMP SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST Get ready for an exciting day as a Summer Camp Speech Language Pathologist at our human services nonprofit! You are an integral part of the Camp Colonie team, evaluating the communication skills of children and developing comprehensive service plans that align with our program policies and regulations. But that's not all - you also provide top-notch therapy to our campers based on their individualized treatment plan, following the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Code of Ethics at all times. Your expertise doesn't stop there - you counsel our campers and their families on how to best deal with their specific communication impairments in a variety of speaking situations. Attending Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) meetings, staffing, case conferences, and department meetings, you maintain progress notes, reports, evaluations, plans, case conference reports, and discharge summaries. You're a true professional, and you track insurance authorizations as needed to ensure our campers get the care they deserve. But you don't just follow the status quo - you stay on the lookout for improvement opportunities in our program, completing departmental evaluations in accordance with agency policies and procedures. As a case manager, you assist in coordinating and obtaining other services that our campers need to thrive. You love working with our campers and using your talents to help them improve, and we can't wait to see what you bring to the table! This temporary full-time position at our human services nonprofit works during the day from June 26th - August 11th . WHAT WE NEED IN A SUMMER CAMP SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST Master's Degree or equivalent in the field of speech pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association OR be in your clinical fellowship year Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Covid-19 vaccination Three years of experience working with young children as a speech-language pathologist is preferred but not required.
