Peer Recovery Specialist Housing Support Worker - $1,500 Retention Bonus!! All are welcome! This position is eligible for a $1,500 retention bonus ($750 paid after 6 months of service with the remainder paid after 12 months of service). Position Summary Position will assist formerly homeless individuals (and their children) in recovery from Substance Abuse as well as work with clients beyond recovery initiation through stabilization and into recovery maintenance. Position provides ongoing support to permanent supportive housing clients, many of whom are qualified for Housing Stabilization/Transition Services, and would benefit from additional short or long-term services to achieve and maintain housing stability. Services are provided on site, at home or in the community. Liaison with property management to support compliance with tenant expectations. Able to support client in finding and navigating resources. Position will perform all essential functions at Canvas Health Substance Use Treatment Services. Additionally, position will support positive change by helping clients who are receiving treatment in one of our IOP Substance Use Treatment programs, including those in the criminal justice system to avoid relapse, build community support for recovery, or work on life goals such as relationships, work, housing, etc. Qualifications High school diploma (or equivalent). Will need to complete Housing Consultation and Housing Transition and Housing Sustaining training through MN-DHS TrainLink within two weeks of hire. "Recovery Coach Academy" 40-hour training through a Minnesota Recovery Connection Organization Minnesota Peer Recovery Specialist Certificate or willing and qualified to be certified. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and lived experience with substance use disorders and recovery.
