Our Project Managers earn a competitive salary from $70,948.80 to $106,433.60 with midpoint control. Your first year you can expect to make a starting salary of $70,948.80 to $88,691.20 depending on your experience and qualifications. Is this the opportunity for you? Read on! We're looking for someone to manage and monitor the performance of capital improvement projects throughout all necessary phases. This person must be knowledgeable of the principles and practices associated with engineering, project management and plan review, general knowledge of construction inspection and the design, construction and management of roadways, bridges, creeks, sidewalks, trails, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water mains and facilities. As a Project Manager , your duties and responsibilities include the following: Managing engineering, surveying and professional firms for design projects; establishes, negotiates and executes contracts. Managing contracting companies for construction projects. Assists with the Pavement Evaluation Program; evaluates and rates city streets as assigned. Reviewing plans, specifications and estimates for construction projects. Assists in the preparation of the budget for the upcoming year, as well as managing the allocated budget to ensure all project related costs fall within budget. Managing the timeline of projects to ensure on-time completion. Preparing bid documents and overseeing bidding by coordinating with our Purchasing Agent. Ensures project documentation is maintained and archived. Applying for external funds for design and construction projects, preparing fund agreements and attending meetings pertaining to fund sources. Acquiring easements and rights-of-way for construction projects and recording required documents. Reviewing and preparing recommendations on traffic related issues with residents and staff, including meeting with residents concerning projects during design and construction. Preparing and issuing Requests of Qualifications to engineering firms for design services. Paying invoices for contracting engineering firms; prepares spreadsheets and invoices. Completing in-house design plans. Sending plans to utility companies for review and coordinating relocations. Preparing and giving presentations to the elected officials and public groups.
