Job Title: Business Development Representative at BuzzShift Job Summary: The Business Development Representative (BDR) will focus on finding purpose-driven brands that need digital marketing services and building genuine connections with them. The aim of this role is to identify potential customers, engage in proactive outreach, and facilitate client discovery. The BDR will work closely with the BuzzShift leadership team to ensure alignment on messaging and the target audience, as well as with Team Sales to develop custom recommendations, present solutions, and help transition to executing scopes. Responsibilities: Use tools to research brands and form a strategic outreach plan. Proactively build a network of prospective purpose-driven brands. Identify brands and manage outreach to our ideal brand partners across preferred verticals. Build, monitor, and maintain automated outreach email sequences. Engage in dialogue with prospective brands to qualify them as leads and determine the services needed. Build trust with our internal teams and set realistic expectations of brands. Lead Team Sales calls through the discovery process with the prospective brands, pulling in the right subject matter experts based on the brand's growth objectives and goals. Collaborate with the internal team to build custom recommendations and presentations as needed. Assist with the creation of scopes of work and any redlining during negotiations. Lead the transition from the contract phase to onboarding, to ensure a smooth handoff to the internal brand team. Participate in team-wide marketing efforts, such as blog creation. Relay feedback to relevant team members to improve New Business growth and processes. Actively monitor and update HubSpot to track the pipeline, update the status of leads, log meeting notes, keep accurate contact information, and report on sales trends. Skills and Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships, with a proven track record of quota achievement and results delivery. Strong understanding of marketing services and solutions (Brand Development, Content Strategy, Creative Design, SEO/SEM, social media, Marketing Automation, Email Marketing, Programmatic Campaigns, etc.) is highly preferred. Exceptional time management skills, with a keen eye for detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Entrepreneurial thinking and futurist mindset. Self-directing and agile, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. How Success Will Be Measured: Meeting quarterly sales priorities. Achieving monthly and quarterly new business revenue targets. Achieving monthly targets for sales-qualified leads. Reports accurately on sales activity and pipeline opportunities. Collaboration with Leaders and active engagement in team discussions. Ongoing analysis of sales activities and data, with the ability to tell a cohesive story explaining the performance. Consistent pursuit of learning and application of new business development strategies, trends, and insights.
